Michael Wilson - the B in MichaelBWilson is for his maternal grandfather, Bruce. Born in Loveland, CO in 1955, Michael grew up in the nearby village of Berthoud, CO. In high school he studied for two years in the "Famous Illustrators Artists' Course by Mail." He spent his 20's painting and studying art at Humboldt State University in Northern California, spent a year on the island of Paros, Greece and graduated from the Boston Museum School in 1988, sharing first place in the prestigious 5th Year Traveling Fellowship. 


Wilson has been granted several artist residencies, including The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the Ucross Foundation. Most recently, in 2013 he completed a successful Kickstarter campaign, “91 Paintings In 91 Days,” and was awarded a grant from the Artist’s Resource Trust of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.


Michael has shown his paintings in galleries in New York City, Los Angeles, Denver, Santa Fe, and Boston, and been co-owner/director of OZ Gallery in Provincetown, MA for 5 years. His paintings are in many corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad, including Fidelity Investment Corp., Ritz Carlton, Hyatt and Sheraton Hotels, Ssang Yong Corp. of Seoul, South Korea.
Wilson has been a painting and drawing teacher for over 20 years, at the MFA School, currently at the New Arts Center in Newton, and private lessons in his Waltham, MA studio.
